THE DREAM COME TRUE

"For a little girl from Edwardsville, Pennsylvania, it was like dying and going to Heaven. Rehearsals began and the memories of it all are joyous and precious.....My Miss USA roommate, Nancy Brackhan, and I were both so excited about the competition. We both were selected among the top winners in the swimsuit division of competition. To our great surprise, we were both named among the top fifteen and were thus finalists for the Miss USA title. Everything about this pageant was magnificent.... It was here that I first met Frank Sinatra."
